Other Activities

So many things happened these few weeks... I feel fortunate for all that I have. Some of the activities:
Jing's treat at Tamaya for my Birthday:
Grilled Foie Gras: droolz. really good.
Mentaiko Spagetti: comparable to the one I had with my Host Mum in Fukuoka. Yummy!
Salmon with grated Japanese yam: Ooh...too much cheese though.

Sada-kun came to Singapore for an internship at Takashimaya. Glad to be able to meet up on the day before he flew to Bali. Brought him to Geylang.. Ha, we walked along the streets crowded with middle-aged men waiting for their "supper".

Run for Hope 2006: Jing's and Joanna's 1st long run. And they both did well. The rain made it more memorable. Had a superb breakfast after the run at Maxwell - Porridge with you tiao, tim sum chicken feet and pork ribs and fried tofu. Suzuki Sensei joined in the fun.
Masaru-san from Kanagawa came to Nirai for a short stint. Brought him out for sightseeing on his day off. Went to view the Merlion, walked around Chinatown, Bugis, then he was sporty enough to join Meiqi and Sean for dinner at Soup Spoon, Raffles City. Then we proceeded to Loof where Kev joined in for drinks and played the "gyu-tan" game.
Dropped by Nirai after school on the last day Masaru worked at the restaurant. Wishing him the best.

Interviewed a really cool bunch of young dudes on Beatboxing. Impressed by their passion and drive.
STW gathering: Yuyuan's farewell as well. She's flying off to Kyudai in a few days time.
Mingyan gave Jim a wonderful birthday surprise. here Jing and I pasted our eyelids down to look like Jim..hee.
Xiaohui, Phyllis were there too. We had a great time.
